"Encyclopedia of Retirement and Finance" Published

Middleburg, Virginia

“This Encyclopedia should become a staple of gift giving…The time for reading it is now!”
- Dallas L. Salisbury
Chair, American Savings Education Council

ISFS announced the publication in December of 2003 of the Encyclopedia of Retirement and Finance. This revised and much expanded edition of the Encyclopedia of Financial Gerontology (1996) is a comprehensive two-volume work. It is the only encyclopedia that focuses on all of the financial and life planning issues of concern for older Americans, their families, advisors and caregivers.

Written by nationally recognized experts in a variety of fields, the Encyclopedia includes over 180 entries on the most recent issues in financial planning and investing, retirement plans, health coverage and care, housing, employment and quality of life in retirement. Entries elucidate financial and gerontological terms, concepts, policies and programs with in-depth discussions of the needs and problems of older adults and their families.

The Encyclopedia is an extremely user-friendly work. Each article features references to help individual readers research topics further with cross-references, bibliographies, sources for advice and guides to further information. The information in these two volumes is of importance to everyone: aging baby boomers, recent retirees, adult children of aging parents, employers, caregivers and financial advisors.

More information about the encyclopedia can be found at HERE.
