Vitt to Present Workshop at 2007 Gerontological Society Annual Meeting

Middleburg, Virginia

ISFS announced today that it's Founding Director, Lois A. Vitt, Ph.D, will be speaking on Improving Elders' Lives: A Collaborative Enterprise at the 28th Annual Meeting of the Southern Gerontological Society. The event will be part of the International Economic Forum of the Americas / Conference of Montreal on June 5-8 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Dr. Vitt, recognized authority on Financial Literacy education, will present a workshop entitled “ Making Wise Housing Choices in any Market at Any Age.” During her workshop, she will expand upon themes developed in her recent book, 10 Secrets to Successfully Home Buying and Selling. Attendees will take away decision tools that will help their clients and students make more stress-free housing decisions and smarter financial transactions. They will discover how to deal with decision conflicts between partners, parents, and children, and then teach them to answer crucial housing questions for themselves.

According to Dr. Vitt:

"Participants attending the forum will discover their own 'housing value system,' the personal housing psychology that drives their housing choices and decisions. They will learn how they formed their own concep tof 'home,' and in turn become skillful at helping students and clients understand these crucial aspects of the biggest financial decisions they may ever make."
